The programme of “Basics in Design“

“Basics in Design“ is an integral part of the “Vorkurs“ programme. Approximately 130 students attend the “Vorkurs“ every year and pursue essential training for a professional education in the field of design. The students are divided into seven classes of eighteen to twenty students each.

The international programme “Basics in Design“ comprises one of the seven classes. It follows the same concept as the other six classes, but has a slightly different timetable. One or two semesters in the programme “Basics in Design“? We offer the possibility of either one or two semesters of study, but recommend one full year.

Entry into the programme is only possible in the fall semester: students begin their studies in August and continue through January or June of the following year.

Fall semester: August 09, 2010 - January 22, 2011

Spring semester: January 24, 2011 - July 01, 2011

The Basel School of Design does not give credits. A letter of certification, including a description of the courses taken, will be provided by the school director.
